Client Trend Analysis
Trend analysis gives you an AI-generated summary of a client's recent progress — pulling together check-ins, goals, and notes into a single narrative that highlights what's improving, what's stalling, and what needs your attention.
When to use it
Trend analysis is most useful when you want to step back and look at the bigger picture:
- Before a planning session — Review a client's trajectory before adjusting their meal plan or workout program
- When something feels off — A client's check-ins seem fine individually, but you sense a pattern you can't quite pin down
- Periodic reviews — Monthly or bi-weekly deep dives to make sure a client is on track
- Catching up after time away — Quickly get up to speed on a client's recent history
How to run an analysis
- Open a client's dashboard
- Click the Trend Analysis panel (or the trend analysis button in the client header)
- Choose a time period — 1 to 12 months of check-in history to analyze
- Click Analyze
The analysis streams in real-time. You'll first see a reasoning phase (the AI thinking through the data), followed by the written analysis.
What the analysis covers
The AI examines all available data within your chosen time period:
- Body measurements — Weight trends, circumference changes (waist, hips, arms, etc.), and how they correlate
- Training adherence — Workout frequency patterns, consistency over time
- Recovery metrics — Sleep hours, daily steps, water intake, and trends in each
- Subjective feedback — What the client has been saying in their check-in responses — mood, energy, motivation patterns
- Goal progress — How active goals are tracking against their targets
- Your notes — Recent coaching notes that provide context the numbers alone don't capture
The output is organized into sections with adherence percentages where applicable, so you can scan quickly.
Adjusting the time period
The period selector lets you choose how far back to look. Shorter periods (1–3 months) give you a focused recent snapshot. Longer periods (6–12 months) reveal slower trends that are invisible week-to-week.
If there isn't enough check-in data for the selected period, you'll see a quality warning before the analysis begins. The analysis will still run, but the AI will note where data is sparse.
Regenerating
Click Regenerate to run a fresh analysis. This is useful if new check-ins have come in since the last analysis, or if you've changed the time period.
Each analysis costs 3 AI credits. See AI Credits for details on the credit system.
Downloading as PDF
After an analysis completes, click the download button in the toolbar to export it as a PDF. This is useful for sharing with clients or keeping in your records outside the app.
