Requesting Form Videos

Ask for a form video on the exact exercise you want to review. Your client sees the request before the workout and again when they reach that exercise, so it does not get lost in a message thread.

Gradual rollout

Form video requests are being rolled out gradually. If you do not see Request a form video yet, it is not enabled for your account.

Ask for a video while editing a workout

  1. Open the client's workout plan.
  2. Edit the exercise you want to review.
  3. Turn on Request a form video.
  4. Optionally add a short filming note, such as “Side angle so I can see your back position.”

The request saves immediately. You do not need to save the whole workout plan again. If the plan already has unsaved changes, save those first and then turn on the request.

Keep the note practical. Tell the client the angle, body part, or working set you need to see. One clear instruction is usually enough.

Ask after reviewing a workout

You can also request a video while reviewing a completed workout:

  1. Open the client's completed workout.
  2. Find the exercise.
  3. Choose Request a video.
  4. Add an optional filming note and save.

Use this when the logged sets or the client's note give you a reason to check their technique next time.

What your client sees

The request appears only inside the workout flow:

  • Before the workout, the overview shows how many exercises have video requests and marks each requested exercise.
  • During the workout, the requested exercise shows Your coach asked for a video here, your optional note, and a Form video button.
  • The exercise list also marks requested exercises, so the client can spot them before reaching that movement.

Filming is optional. The client can finish the workout without attaching a video.

What happens after the client sends it

When the client finishes a workout with a finalized video for that exercise, the request is marked complete and stops appearing in future workouts. The video stays attached to the completed workout, ready for you to review.

If the client records a video but the upload has not finished, the request stays open. This prevents a failed or interrupted upload from clearing your request.

To review the clip and leave feedback at an exact moment, see Exercise Videos & Workout Photos.

Change or cancel a request

Open the exercise in the workout plan again. You can edit the filming note or turn off Request a form video. Cancelling removes the prompt from the client's future workouts; it does not delete any video they already uploaded.

Only one open request is kept for each client and exercise. Updating the note changes the existing request instead of creating duplicates.
