Shareable Workout Photos

After a workout, your clients can add a photo: a gym selfie, a sweaty post-session shot, whatever marks the day. The client app turns it into a card with that session's stats on it, ready to share to Instagram, WhatsApp or anywhere else on their phone.

When they share it, they can add a small Coached by line with your business name. Every time a client posts a good session, the people who follow them see who coached it.

Workout photos are available to every client with workout logging.

Adding a photo

At the end of a workout

The Workout Complete screen shows a preview card with the client's real numbers from that session, so they can see what the finished card will look like before they add anything. Tapping it lets them Take photo or Choose from library.

The photo appears on the card straight away. It uploads in the background; if they're at the gym without signal, it waits on their phone and finishes uploading once they're back online.

Later, from Workout History

If they skip it at the end, they can open that session from Workout History and tap Add workout photo under the session details. It works exactly the same way.

Sharing the photo

Two small buttons sit on the photo: a share icon, and for more options. Both screens, the end of the workout and Workout History, look and work the same.

Tapping the share icon opens a preview of the image with two switches:

  • Workout stats: the date, how long they trained, sets and total volume, and their PRs from the session (or their best set if there were no PRs).
  • Coach name: a small "Coached by" line along the bottom of the photo.

The preview changes the moment they flip a switch, so they always know exactly what they're about to share. Tapping Share opens their phone's usual share options. If their browser can't open share options, the button says Save and downloads the image instead.

Their phone remembers the last choice. The first time, stats are on and the coach name is off.

Nothing is ever posted for them. The photo only leaves the client app when they tap Share and pick where it goes.

The "Coached by" line

The line uses your brand name, for example "COACHED BY PEAK PERFORMANCE COACHING". If you haven't set a brand name, it uses your own name instead.

To check or change it, open your Profile (click your name in the sidebar) and edit Brand name. See Profile & Preferences.

Clients decide whether to include it each time they share, and it's off until they turn it on.

Replacing or removing a photo

The button on the photo has two options:

  • Replace: take a new photo or pick one from the library. The old photo stays in place until the new one has uploaded.
  • Remove: after a quick confirmation, the photo comes off the workout for both of you.

What you see

In the client's workout log on your dashboard, you see the plain photo they added. The stats and the "Coached by" line only appear on the image the client shares, whichever look they pick.

Using it in your coaching

  • Set your brand name first. A "Coached by" line with a business name reads like a recommendation. Your personal name works too, but a brand is easier for a friend to search for.
  • Mention it on the days that matter. When a client hits a PR, finishes their first full week, or comes back after time off, a quick "grab a photo at the end, that one's worth sharing" goes a long way. The card already shows the PR, so they don't have to type anything.
  • Let them choose. Some clients love posting; others want their photos private. The photo is still useful to you either way, as a record of the session and how they're feeling in the gym, so never make sharing feel like homework.
